Set Your Health Goals

Because there's so much information about your health and heart, sometimes the really useful facts can be forgotten. So to help make a positive impact on your heart's health, you'll find a list of goals below that you can aim for.

You don't have to choose all of them, but as a good start, pick three that suit you best. And don't necessarily pick the easiest ones, but make sure the goals you choose are realistic. Once you reach your goals, you can challenge yourself with new ones and continue building on what you've already achieved.

Choose your goals from the list below:

  • I will take up a new sport or activity and do it once a week
  • I will take the stairs instead of using the lift
  • I will build in activity breaks at work or while watching the TV
  • I will walk briskly to and from local places whenever possible
  • I will spend 30 minutes a day, five days a week being active
  • I will eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every day
  • I will choose lower fat foods whenever possible
  • I will stop adding salt to my food
  • I will eat two portions of fish a week, one of which is oil rich fish
